
Dawn Louro
VP, Head of Clinical Operations
Ms. Louro is a clinical operations executive with more than 25 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience leading global clinical development programs across gastroenterology, immunology, CNS, oncology, vaccines, and inflammatory diseases. She brings extensive expertise in building high-performing clinical operations organizations, executing complex global trials, and developing operational infrastructure to support advancing therapeutic pipelines.
Prior to joining Palisade Bio, Ms. Louro served as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Landos Biopharma, where she led global clinical operations activities supporting development programs in ulcerative colitis and rheumatology through the company’s acquisition by AbbVie. She oversaw the successful execution of international clinical studies, including global ulcerative colitis programs, and played a key role in clinical development planning, vendor strategy, and operational process implementation.
Previously, Ms. Louro served as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Statera Biopharma, where she supported gastrointestinal development programs and led operational execution for both domestic and global pediatric clinical studies.
Ms. Louro spent more than 14 years at Supernus Pharmaceuticals, ultimately serving as Executive Director and Head of Clinical Operations. During her tenure, she built and led a clinical operations organization of more than 45 professionals and supported the development and commercialization of multiple approved CNS therapies, including Trokendi XR®, Oxtellar XR®, GOCOVRI®, and Qelbree®. She also contributed to corporate strategic planning, lifecycle management initiatives, operational systems implementation, and due diligence activities supporting partnerships and acquisitions.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Louro held positions of increasing responsibility at MedImmune and Otsuka Maryland Research Institute, supporting clinical development programs in immunology, inflammatory disease, oncology, vaccines, and cardiovascular medicine.
Ms. Louro earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a certified project manager with extensive experience in global clinical trial execution, operational strategy, and cross-functional leadership.
